722 dvr

hey all,,I have a 722vip dvr,,My question is, is there any way to activate the usb port without paying dish for it,,,and I also would like to know if theres a way to pull the movies off of my harddrive and save them to burn to dvd....

No times 2,sorry,everythings encriypted on hard drive same thing coming off usb port so whats the point

Not sure about 722, but I know there is a proggy somewhere to read files off 510 pvr... Not sure if they work the same way so.
And the usb port can't be activated without dish on sub...

I don't think pvr explorer works with the 5xx series receivers any more, at least if the rev is above 369.......

adding USB HDD functionality to the 722 is done via a tier on the card.

If you have a way of adding tiers to your card (if you could you would open up everything) or if you are using a CW server that has the USB HDD enabled then yes.

As far as pulling video off the USB HDD it is encrypted in a way that is unknown at this time.

722k has the card embedded in the receiver,as the 722 you need an actual card
